FEMA Agreement

To the residents:

On March 31, 2015 the Village signed a letter of understanding with FEMA about the scope of our project, which has a cap of $4,888,354. This is the next step in the process leading up to FEMA’s creating a project worksheet.
While this part of the process moves forward, we will begin creating bidding documents for demolition and construction, including a project manager; and will keep you apprised of each step along the way.
We are also working with the local, county and state historical societies to create a digital record of the building, and where possible to preserve and repurpose materials. We are committed to capturing the historic nature and style of the building in any new plans.
I encourage everyone to attend our upcoming board meeting on April 14 at 7:30 p.m. if you have questions and input. Or feel free to contact me or Larry any time. We want to be as transparent as possible about this very important undertaking, and we rely on the input of the community.
